Barracudas swim above you. They may not be huge, but there are several dozen of them. They allow you to swim close to each other. They know divers who immerse themselves in the waters of Madeira to admire the local terrain, animals and... simply the arena. Arena - this is the name of the diving spot we are exploring. You should be prepared for the presence of currents in this place and large numbers of fish typical of the Atlantic Ocean better described below. The main attraction is a tunnel that is 7 m long and a chimney in the middle, which you can also swim into. An interesting diving site with depths not exceeding 30 m. The rocky bottom is attractive to divers due to the variety of rock formations that are hiding places for various species of marine animals. You never know what you'll encounter behind the next protruding rock.
The name of this spot comes from the shape of the rocks that give you the feeling that you are diving into an arena. The reef lies within the underwater national park the better know Garajau Marine Reserve.
Its rock formations are impressive. We can see schools of Trumpet Fish, Groupers, Barracudas, Mackerels and Lobsters.
The maximum depth is around 30mts.
