Dive located at the tip of Ponta de São Lourenço, right next to the lighthouse. It is a demanding dive due to the strong currents that are felt, but when conditions are good it is one of the best dives on the Medeira island. It is a "low" that starts at 3 meters and reaches 40 meters in depth. At the top, we can see a wreck, the Forerunner steam shipwrecked in 1854 and in 1881, the Newton steam. The English steamship Forerunner, built-in 1852, was shipwrecked on October 25, 1854, coming from the Serra Lioness, off the coast of Africa, bound for Plymouth, England, after a stopover a day in Funchal Bay. Transporting many British army officers and the governor of Sierra Leone, three passengers and eleven crew members have died. You will find the boiler in good condition.
Next to the wreckage, we can observe several schools, including chestnuts, kingfish and green fish. It is a very attractive dive due to the possibility of spotting large pelagics.
