Ilhéu do Norte is located on the northeast coast of Terceira Island. Around it, there are some small seamounts that emerge from – 50 meters to – 12m. It has a gorge with soft coral (unique in the Azores) of different colors. Schools of pelagic fish are observed, including manta rays (Mobula tarapacana).
This dive is done at a maximum depth of 18 meters due some medium to strong currents.
