This karst spring is part of the Mindinho - Mira system.
The Eye of Mira is located on the northern edge of the Polde de Minde, within the Natural Park of the Serras d'Aire and Candeeiros. It is a karst spring inserted in the limestone of the average Jurassic.
During the rainy season, the water level of the area rises about 90mts and the spring springs water, allowing the dive to be made right from the spring.
During the dry season, it will be necessary to cross a 90-meter gap inside the cave to gain access to the water. Traces made with fluorescent tracers, allow us to verify that the waters infiltrated in the sinks of the depression of the Pinkfish reappear in the source of the Eye of Mira.
In the winter, the spring allows diving until at least 90mts of unevenness and 500mts of development. PNSAC authorization required. (Luís, R. 2018)
